Symantec BE: Backup Failed Access denied to directory

When backing up our linux server with RALUS having errors: Access denied to directory V-79-57344-33928 .

Perform the following at the remote Linux/UNIX computer:

1. Stop the RALUS by executing the command /etc/init.d/VRTSralus stop

2. The configuration file of the RALUS is the RALUS.cfg, located in the path /etc/VRTSralus on the remote UNIX/Linux server.

3. Open the RALUS.cfg in a text editor such as vi and locate the following line:

Software\VERITAS\Backup Exec\Engine\RALUS\Encoder=

4. Add the following to the above line: LATIN-1. The new line should like this:

Software\VERITAS\Backup Exec\Engine\RALUS\Encoder=LATIN-1

5. Execute the command /etc/init.d/VRTSralus start to start the RALUS on the remote Linux/UNIX server.

Note:- When using PHP as an Apache module, you can also change the configuration settings using directives in Apache configuration files (e.g. httpd.conf) and .htaccess files. You will need “AllowOverride Options” or “AllowOverride All” privileges to do so.

Add following values to your .htaccess

php_flag display_startup_errors on
php_flag display_errors on
php_flag html_errors on
php_flag log_errors on
php_value error_log /home/path/public_html/domain/PHP_errors.log

Scheduling your Server to Automatically Reboot

Windows Server 2003

Windows Server 2003 comes with the built-in ability to schedule your server to reboot at any time of your choosing. It is quite simple to set up.

Navigate to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Scheduled Tasks.

Click on the icon which says Add Scheduled Task.

You should now see the Add Scheduled Task Wizard. Click Next.

Disregard the list of programs, and click the Browse button.

How to stop DrWeb notification emails – Plesk 11

You need SSH access to your plesk panel to do this
login with your account with SSH or with su as root.
Use your favourite editor (i use VI) and go toPlesk Parallels
vi /etc/drweb/drweb32.ini
look for
and change it to
Also you can edit the
vi /etc/drweb/drweb_handler.conf
where you can look for the Notification section and change anything that you dont want to be notified about by simply putting no instead of yes
After any changes you need to stop and start the drWeb Service.
you can do that by
/etc/init.d/drwebd start
/etc/init.d/drwebd stop
