Determine the name of your Outlook profile

You can use the following steps to determine the name of your Outlook profile.

Windows XP

  • Open Control Panel.
  • Switch to Classic View.
  • Double-click Mail.
  • Click Show Profiles.
  • Note the name of your Outlook profile on the General tab.

If you see more than one profile on the General tab, the default profile is listed in the drop-down control under When starting Microsoft Office Outlook, use this profile.
Click OK to close the Mail control panel.

Windows Vista, Windows 7

  • Open Control Panel.
  • In the Search Control Panel box, type Mail.
  • Click Mail.
  • Click Show Profiles
  • Note the name of your Outlook profile on the General tab

If you see more than one profile on the General tab, the default profile is listed in the drop-down control under When starting Microsoft Office Outlook, use this profile.
Click OK to close the Mail control panel.


How to Fix Temporary Profile in Windows 7

Windows 7 OS may not read your correct user profile properly, instead, load with temporary profile which will look completely different. If you are not aware of temp profile or missed to see the pop-up message at bottom right side of the screen, then really you will be surprised to see completely different and new desktop without your files,folders,shortcuts icons and any customized settings.

Configuring the built-in Cisco IPSec VPN client in Mac OSX, iPad and iPhone

Here’s how to configure OSX,iPad,iPhone to use an enterprise Cisco VPN concentrator (which is what you connect to from internet when you want to virtually join a company or school’s LAN).

Open System Preferences –> Network –> click the plus sign (Create a new service). On the iPhone, choose Settings –> General –> Network –> VPN –> Add VPN Configuration. On the Mac, chose VPN as the interface. Choose Cisco IPSec as the VPN type, and supply a service name as a description (an arbitrary name for the connection, whatever makes sense to you).
